Bodegas Langa –

Bodegas Langa is family owned and operated and is the only bodega in the

Calatayud region that is not a cooperative. The family’s business model requires

a family member to be in every aspect of their operation. Their grapes are grown

in either of their two estate vineyards, which are located in different parts of the

region with distinctively different microclimates. No herbicides, pesticides, or

chemicals of any kind are used in the vineyards. All of their wines and cavas are

produced organically with the European certification. The bodega is now working

to obtain the U.S. organic certification.

 


CHAPILLON CUVEE HARMONIE - (Petit verdot-Tanant) ......................................... 33626

Dense red still with some purple on the rim, intense and quite spicy nose of ripe blackberry fruit with a touch of leather that smooth out as it comes onto the palate and then the vigour of Petit Verdot and Tannat kick in, still slightly smoky from the oak, but the vigourous and lifted fruit will soon dominate and the firm natural tannins will blend in as well, a wine of personality and vigour without over-extraction, remaining sweet on the palate.

FOOD PAIRING

Will go especially well with red meats, poultry, stews and cheeses.

CHAPILLON CUVEE PAUL - (100% 75 years old vine garnacha)......................................... 33619 

Vibrant purple red colour, crushed summer black fruits on the nose, a touch of spice with notes of violets, shows the warmth of ripe fruit on the palate and the lift of fruits well masks the 14.5 alc due to ripeness, while retaining and enhancing the fleshy exuberance of Grenache.

Will go especially well with red meats, poultry, stews and cheeses.

Chapillon Siendra - (80% Old vine garnacha-cab-syrah-merlot) ......................................... 33621 

Deep black cherry red, nose of black cherry fruit and autumnal berries, evidence of oak well-blended in, quite lifted and floral, the grip of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah adds spice to the Grenache fruit which finishes with fine natural acidity.

CHAPILLON SECRET NV - (Artisinal Cava - 75% Chardonnay 25% Macabeo) ......................................... 34140 

A blend of 75 percent chardonnay and 25 percent macabeo aged 16 months in the bottle, this is classic Cava, from the nutty scent to the almond flavor. It feels broad and rich yet clean, defined by its crisp acidity.

FOOD PAIRING

Great match for fish, shell fish and white meat. Be served also as an aperitive.

LANGA MITICO Chardonnay (ORGANIC) ......................................... 33625

Color - Straw colour with green tints.
Nose - Complex and intense aroma varied with apple,
peach, fennel, honey and exotic fruits (guava,
passion fruit).
Mouth - Ample palate, fat, on first taste clean and fresh
thanks to its sharp acidity. Syrupy after tasting.

FOOD PAIRING

Perfect accompaniment to pastas, fatty fish and white meats.

Langa Pasión (100% Garnacha)......................................... 34141 

Color - Mature cherry red, with tints of violet.
Nose - Fruity (strawberry, raspberry) and floral and scrubland.
Toasted vintage aromas, smoky and tobacco.
Mouth - A structured wine, balanced and excellent acidity.
Smooth at first soon shows its tannic strength,
however with a sweet soft velvety tannin.

FOOD PAIRING

Due to its complexity it is an excellent accompaniment to red meats, cold cured Iberian meats and cured cheeses.

PI Concejon Red (100% Concejón) ......................................... 33622

Color - Cherry red, very deep with purplish tints. 

Nose - Fragrant nose of mature red and black fruits. Elegant vintage aromas, with hints of cocoa and tobacco. Complex and elegant.
Mouth - Unctuous on the mouth, fat and very glyceric. Sweet tannins, round and velvety.

FOOD PAIRING

Due to its singular qualities this wine is ideal with red meats, Serrano ham and cured cheeses.

PI Garnacha Blanca (100% White Garnacha) ......................................... 33623

Color - Yellow with lemony tints.
Nose - Aromas of white fruits (melon, peach and apple),
which fuse with honey and butter aromas. Light spicy aromas and vintage aromas.
Mouth - Fleshy and fat, at first clean and unctuous thanks to its sharp acidity. Very long after tasting.

FOOD PAIRING

Perfect accompaniment to pastas, fatty fish and white meats.
